This navy Saree carries figures painted in the Kerala mural style, with rounder faces, heavy gold ornament and bangles, set against a dark ground that lets ochre, green and red stand out. The print is laid across the body of the saree in a crowded scene of women and a carriage with spoked wheels, so the drape reads like a painting unrolled.

The red border is woven with gold-toned zari in a band of small motifs, and the orange tassels at the pallu end add a warm finish. Wear it with a plain red or cream blouse to bring out the border, and it suits a festival, a puja or a family wedding.
