Intricate Kalamkari Printed Saree

This black silk blend saree carries a Kalamkari style print of climbing vines, flowers and small elephants in painted howdah panels across the body. The ground is a deep black, so the warm yellow, orange and teal of the print stand out clearly in daylight.

The pink border and pallu are finished with gold zari and small pink motifs in a Paithani style, which pulls the pattern together at the hem and over the shoulder. The red-orange blouse piece has a gold woven dot pattern and suits a festive puja, a wedding function or an evening party.
