Pale Grey Kalamkari Pattu Banarasi Saree

Soft Banarasi silk is the reason this drapes the way it does. It has the fall of a proper silk without the stiffness, so the pleats stay where you set them and the pallu does not slide off the shoulder every ten minutes. The pale grey base carries a fine Kalamkari print of lotuses, leaves and small flowers in pink, blue and yellow, with small painted figures of a musician and a flute player.

The red border and pallu carry gold woven zari, so the saree reads as festive without needing heavy jewellery. Pair it with gold or pearl pieces and a plain blouse for a wedding, puja or family function.
