Cream Zari Border Kalamkari Banarasi Saree

This cream saree carries Kalamkari-style digital print across a soft Banarasi silk body, with birds perched on flowering branches, squirrels among the leaves and parrots in warm yellow, blue and red. The print is spread across the whole body so the drape looks painted rather than patterned.

The red pallu and border are the frame here. The twelve inch pattu zari border runs down the length and carries gold through the front pleats, while the pallu has a woven zari pattern and red tassels at the end. Pair it with a plain gold or cream blouse to let the print lead, or with pearl jewellery for a wedding or festive evening.
