Mustard Kalamkari Pichwai Black Check Saree

This mustard Soft Silk saree has a warm ochre base that catches the light well for daytime functions and evening gatherings alike. The body carries a fine black check pattern, and across it runs a Pichwai inspired Kalamkari print in brown, green, pink and cream. The pallu and the wide brown border show the richest part of the print, with peacocks, lotus flowers, palm trees and small figures in red and green.

The soft drape falls smoothly, so it suits a wedding, a festive puja or a party, and a plain blouse in a contrasting shade lets the print stand out. Resham tassels hang from the pallu end. Silver jewellery, as worn in the photos, suits its warm tones.
