Purple Pochampally Double Ikkat Saree

Royal blue fills the body of this saree, scattered with birds, blossoms and fine vines woven in orange, pink and light blue. The design runs in the Pochampally style, where the motifs are woven into the cloth rather than printed on it, so the pattern looks crisp and clear. Soft silk gives the fabric a smooth, fluid fall.

The border is the standout feature, a temple-style edge above a broad band of cream and grey motifs picked out in orange and red, with metallic thread catching the light. The green pallu carries ikat-style patterns and bands of gold and silver thread, so the saree suits weddings, pooja and festive gatherings. Pair it with a deep green blouse.
