Grey is the base of this Banarasi katan silk saree, with gold zari woven across the body and a pink border along the edges. Peacock motifs sit on the body and return in the pallu, where the zari work is denser and the pattern is set in boxed panels. The silk has a soft sheen that catches light as you move.

The pink blouse piece carries small gold buti, so it ties in with the border and the pallu. Pair the saree with simple gold or antique jewellery and pink jhumkas to let the weave stand out. It suits a festive evening, a family function or a daytime puja.
