Light Yellow Dhakai Jamdani Saree

This light yellow saree is covered in small round dots woven in red, with a few in green and blue, so the whole drape looks bright without turning heavy. The body stays pale and open, which suits a morning function, a haldi ceremony or a Puja at home.

The border and pallu are where the weave becomes bolder. A red band of interlocking geometric motifs runs along the edge, and the pallu widens into rows of diamond and flower shapes in red, green, blue and a soft gold tone. Red tassels finish the end. Pair it with a plain white or cream blouse and light silver jewellery, and let the pallu do the talking.
